For You. For Shaker.
I am honored to serve as the Vice Mayor of Shaker Heights. Over time I have had the privilege of meeting thousands of Shaker Heights residents. You tell me about your deep commitment to make Shaker an even better place to call home. I share your commitment.
With your support, I am focused on financially sustainability, successful launch of our new Mental Health Response Team, and the joint capital planning (now called Forward Together) that I have firmly and consistently championed for over eight years.
Helping organizations achieve positive change is what I do. Since 2001 my small business has helped important organizations do better. Working together we will help Shaker Heights do better.

I champion a welcoming, safe, open and inclusive community where ALL people thrive. We must stand firmly on these core values. As I look to the future there are three areas I will focus on as a member of Shaker Council:
When I first ran for City Council in 2013, I promised to find ways to maintain or improve city services at a lower cost. Since then, we have had many successes. One result is outsourcing our jail to Solon. We are saving money and hours devoted to public safety have increased by enabling officers to spend more time policing and less time on jail-related activities.
Mental Health Response Team
I have championed the design and creation of one of our region's first Mental Health Response Teams. We are building a two-pronged approach with proactive solutions to improve mental health, and expert reactive resources who can "meet people where they are" when they need some support.
Shaker residents want to grow the commercial tax base, improve collaboration, and increase property values. To achieve these goals all of us are joining together to collaboratively develop a plan for Shaker's capital investments. The first phase of The Van Aken District is a good start and I’m proud to be a part of it. Now, we're hard at work on the apartment buildings for phase two. I'm also focused on a vibrant commercial corridor in the Chagrin/Lee area.
Tres Roeder, and his family, have lived in Shaker Heights more than twenty years. Currently serving as the Vice Mayor, Tres was first elected to City Council in 2013.
